We are a team of bankruptcy attorneys solely committed to the practice of
bankruptcy law with offices in Florissant, St. Charles, St. Louis, and Granite City. We offer a free consultation in which we can determine if bankruptcy can help you, explain the bankruptcy process and answer all
questions you might have.
The bankruptcy law provides protection, relief, and help in many different
situations. Filing bankruptcy (chapter 7) wipes out unsecured debt, such as credit cards, signature loans and medical bills.
If you decide to surrender (that means give back to your creditor) your house or car, you also will not be liable for the mortgage and car loan.
Of course, you also have the option to keep your house and car. If you are late with your house or car payments, you can file a chapter 13. That allows you to catch up with your payments and protects you from your creditor foreclosing on your home or repossessing your car.
Who do we serve?
Our Law Firm handles Bankruptcy cases for individuals and companies (Chapter 7 and Chapter 13), who are living within the St. Louis Metropolitan Area: This includes St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County and surrounding counties in Missouri and Illinois. To see a complete list of all counties we serve, please click here.
Do you represent me through the whole process of my case?
Yes, we will handle the entire bankruptcy process
for you from the beginning to the end. We will determine, based on the information you provide, if you qualify for Chapter 7 or for Chapter 13, and will advise you about your options. We prepare the petition and all other necessary documents and file them with the court. We represent you at the creditors meeting, and in chapter 13 cases, attend all confirmation hearings, advise you regarding reaffirmation agreements, review claims, file necessary objections, and defend all motions, objections or other pleadings (including amended plans) as necessary to provide complete representation.
What are the legal fees?
The legal fees depend on whether you are filing as a single person or as a couple. The fees also depend on whether your income is above or below median income. We offer a free consultation where we advise you if bankruptcy is an option for you and under which chapter you should file. We will explain to you what the consequences are if you file a bankruptcy case and what the legal fees in your case will be. If your income is below median, we can work with you on the attorney fees because there is less work involved than in above median income cases. We may be able to give you a quote over the phone or online. However, we always would advise you to take advantage of our free consultation. You dont have to start your case or pay anything. Not all attorneys offer that service.
What is the process?
